Sabra Vincent, 70, of Bolivar, died early Friday morning, September 22, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of John I. Vincent, Jr., who survives, she was a farm service agency clerk for 20 years, ran a grocery store for 22 years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Vincent was born July 10, 1936, daughter of the late Haskell M. Harris and Birdie Ridgell Harris and lived in Hardeman County all of her life. She was a member of Parran’s Chapel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 30 years and she dearly loved her grandchildren.
Services were 3 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with her son-in-law, Chris Rigby officiating. Burial was in Parran’s Chapel Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, whom she married November 13, 1957, survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Vicki and Zeke Craft of Bolivar, Pamela and Chris Rigby of Alamo and Patricia and Eddie Kessler of Bolivar; two sisters, Sandra Steppe of Jackson and Rose Harris of Bolivar; one brother, Gerald Harris of Senatobia, Miss. and six grandchildren, Susan Cossar and her husband, Josh, Johnny Craft, Konnor and Kooper Kessler, Kailey and Will Rigby. She was preceded in death by brother, Emory Harris.
