Mrs. Ruth Askew age 75 died Thursday night at the Regional Hospital in Jackson
She was born in Chester County, the daughter of the late Finley and Ida Cupples Cupples. She attended schools in Chester County. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked for several years in Jackson as a waitress for many different restaurants. She attended Peoples Chapel in Jackson.
Mrs. Askew is survived by two sons Randell Askew (Tammy) and Rodney Askew (Debra) both of Henderson; a daughter, Jamie Barcroft (Clay) of Jackson; a step-daughter, Frankie Copeland (Jason) of Henderson; and one brother James (Bud) Cupples (Rachel) of Enville; a sister-in-law, Charline Cupples and six grandchildren.
