Ruth White

Mrs. White passed away Sunday morning at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.

A native and life-long resident of Hardeman County, Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Lewis Wiseman Webster and Anna Rosa Moody Webster. She married Mr. Gordon C. White on February 8, 1950 and they were married for 51 years prior to his death on May 2, 2001. For 17 years, Mr. and Mrs. White were the owners/operators of Roseoco Service Station in Bolivar until 1992. Mrs. White was a long-time member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church near Hickory Valley. In her leisure time, she enjoyed her flowers, gardening and her cats.

She leaves a daughter, Faye Stamey and her husband, Wendell of Bolivar; her son, Lynn White and his wife, Kim, of Bolivar; 8 grandchildren, Aaron Leigh Stamey, Jackie Wiggins, Patti Graves, Kailan White, Jacob and Jarron Bryant, and Charly and Jimi Green; 6 great-grandchildren, Patene, Kaylee and Devin Wiggins, Makayla and Morgan Graves, and Jadyn Bryant.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Miller, who passed August, 3, 2013; and three sisters, Pearl Stewart, Laverne B. Fulton and Ethel Crouse.
