Ruth E. Robbins

Ruth E. Huskey Robbins of Collinwood, TN was born August 29, 1930 in Colbert County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Monroe Jackson and Mamie Murray Huskey. She was united in marriage to Tennie Robbins on February 24, 1952.



Mrs. Robbins was a homemaker and restaurant cook and was of the Baptist faith.



Mrs. Robbins departed this life on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 6 Months, 17 Days.



She is survived by her husband, Tennie Robbins of Collinwood, TN; sons, Jerry L. Robbins and wife, Linda of Westpoint, TN, Bobby Robbins and wife, Kay of Cypress Inn, TN, Larry Robbins and wife, Denise of Iron City, TN, Randy L. Robbins and wife, Michelle of Collinwood, TN, David N. Robbins of Columbia, TN; daughters, Ann Kelso of Collinwood, TN, Kay Martin and husband, Mike of Westpoint, TN, Sherry Daniel and husband, John of Waynesboro, TN; 20 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren; brothers, Paul Huskey of Cypress Inn, TN, Johnny M. Huskey of Collinwood, TN; sisters, Reba Butler and Robnetta Sherrill both of Collinwood, TN; several nieces and nephews.



In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by sons-in-law, Jimmy Robertson and Ray Kelso Sr., a sister, Ruby Dean Robbins.



Services will be Friday, March 19, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Emerald Bailey and Jerry L. Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Bobby, Larry, David, and Randy Robbins, Mike Martin, John Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy, Jason, Adam, Jonah, Casey, and Cody Robbins, and Ray Kelso, Jr.



Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm and Friday, March 19, 2010 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
