Ruth Bernice Phillips was born on July 22, 1929 in Plantersville, Texas, the daughter of the late Martin and Annie Winkler Merdian.
On May 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to Daniel J. Phillips, who preceded his wife in death on March 23, 2018.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Savannah, Tennessee and enjoyed going to church. She also enjoyed cooking, going to casinos, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ruth Bernice Phillips departed this life on December 22, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 93 years and 5 months.
She is survived by her sons, Craig A. Phillips and his wife Diana H., Gary Phillips and his wife Lisa, and Kevin Phillips and his wife Pam, all of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Ester Merdian Brewer of Navasota, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Phillips, Danielle Zulli, Lauren Netzel, Hannah Phillips, and Houston Phillips; and great grandchildren, Chloe Zulli, Kaden Phillips, Charlotte Netzel, Greyson Netzel, Claire Zulli, and Sadie Netzel.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Allphin.
