RUTH ALLEENE MEADORS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 4, 1908, the daughter of Alfred and Fannie Hanna Oldham. On November 3, 1928, she was united in marriage to William Irvin Meadors, who preceded her in death on March 19, 1982.
Mrs. Meadors was a resident of Memphis, Tennessee for eighteen years, during which she worked as a supervisor for Sears. Other than that, her life was spent in Sardis; for six years of that time she taught school in Pickwick, Hinkle and Reagan. She was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church and the Sardis Senior Citizens. She was also a member of and secretary for the Homemakers Club.
Mrs. Meadors departed this life at Lexington Manor in Lexington, Tennessee on November 22, 2005 at the age of 97 years, 6 months and 18 days. She is survived by her brother, Roland Oldham of Herrin, Illinois and a host of nieces and nephews.
