RUTH KELLEY
Henderson, TN: Nora Ruth Davis Kelley, age 79, passed away Saturday evening, April 20, 2013 at Jackson General Hospital.
Mrs. Kelley was born and reared in Decatur County, the daughter of the late Lester and Flossie Lizziedale Tucker Davis. She attended Decatur County Schools. She married James Lockhart and they made their near Lexington. Mr. Lockhart is deceased. She married James Kelley in 1970 and they made their home in the Talley Store Community of Chester County. She had worked at Salant and Salant in Lexington and later at Salant and Salant in Henderson. She later worked at Chester Manufacturing and also I Appeal. She retired in 1995. She was a member of the Love and Truth Church in Henderson.
She is survived by her husband James Kelly, a daughter; Gail Davis and husband Danny of Lexington, a grandson Danny Ray Eddings and a great grandchild Megan Eddings. She is also survived by four sisters; Vanetta Lacy of Decaturville, Marie Birdwell of Rochester Hills, MI, Dorothy Johnson of Henderson and Barbara Jefferson of Lexington and three brothers; Glenn Davis, Billy Earl Davis, and Don Davis all of Decaturville.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; James Howell Davis and Lester Ray Davis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Eddie Larkin and Denny Broadway officiating and burial will follow at Sweetlips Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5 PM Monday.
