Ruth Hester

Ruth Smith Hester was born September 24, 1912 in Houston, Mississippi the daughter of the late Elijah Andrew and Martha Plunk Smith.On September 12, 1942, she was united in marriage to John Hester who survives.Mrs. Hester, a homemaker, departed this life on December 17, 2005 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 2 Months, 23 Days.In addition to her husband John Hester of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Mrs. Hester is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Mullins White and husband, Jim of Bethel Springs and two great grandchildren, Christopher Cox and Chance Mullins. Other than her parents, Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by a grandson, Danny Mullins; five sisters, Myrtle Reaves, Alma Segiler, Ida Smith, Kate Plunk, Ruby Smith; six brothers, Marvin Smith, Cordie Smith, Horace Smith, Frank Smith, Grady Smith and Ralph Smith.
