Ruth Ervin

Mrs. Ervin passed away Thursday afternoon at Pine Meadows Healthcare Center.
The widow of James A. 'Buck' Ervin, who died on June 21, 1988, after 48 years of marriage, she was an inspector with MasterSlack for 35 years. She was born to Charlie and Ida Scott Harris, both of whom preceded her in death and lived all of her life here. She loved to crochet and read and was a member of the Bolivar Central High School class of 1936, the VFW Auxilliary and the American Iris Society. Mrs. Ervin was member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Jamie and Donnie Sipes of Middleton; a son and his wife, Ronnie and Cheryl Ervin of Bolivar; a grandson, Will Sipes; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Ralph, Robert and Royce Harris.
