Ruth McClain Copeland

Ruth McClain Copelandwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 13, 1933 the daughter of the late James Henry and Gladys Irene Gibbs Austin.On April 7, 2000 she was united in marriage to Harbet Gene Copeland, who survives.Mrs. Copeland was a sewing machine operator for Garan Manufacturing and River Heights Manufacturing. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. Mrs. Copeland was of Pentecostal belief.Mrs. Copeland departed this life on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the age of 75 years, 9 months, 3 days.In addition to her husband, Mrs. Copeland is survived by 4 sisters: Corrinne Baugus, Dorothy Smith, Frankie Baugus, and Grace Pickens all of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 grandsons: Joseph Frazier and Jeremy Perryman; 2 great-grandsons: Tevin Wilkerson and David Perryman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by a son: David Frazier; a brother: Herman Austin.
