Services for Ruth Lois Conway Hood Banks, age 76, of Adamsville, TN will be Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Jeremy Weekley officiating. Burial will be in Prater's Chapel Cemetery, Clifton, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from 5 pm to 8 pm and Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
She died at Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN on Monday, January 21, 2008 after an extended illness.
A native of Lewis County, TN, Mrs. Banks was a homemaker and a member of Adamsville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gideon and Mattie Lock Conway, husband, Charles Henry Banks, brothers, Bob and Donald Conway, and sister, Jane Harder.
Survivors, son, Thomas Hood, Crestview, FL; grandsons, Thomas G. Hood, Charles J. Hood; brother, Wayne Conway, Athens, GA; sister, Dorothy Buck, Scotts Hill, TN
