Graveside services for Ruth Ann Pope Ashmore, age 95, of St. John, MO will be Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11 am at North Highland Cemetery, Waynesboro, TN with Marvin Champion officiating and Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Monday, February 18, 2008 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, TN.
She died in Missouri on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Rosewood Care Center in Creve Coeur, MO.
Mrs. Ashmore was preceded in death by her husband, Paris W. (Ted) Ashmore, daughter, Jeanette Sartors, and parents, William J. and Nora Elizabeth Tharpe Pope.
Survivors, daughter, Sue Simington and husband, Bill of St. John, MO; seven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Willie Pope of Trenon, TN.
