Rudolph Turnbow
was born on February 5, 1945 the son of the late Roscoe and Virginia Jones Turnbow.
On July 2, 1966 he was united in marriage to Olga Wulfert, who survives.
Rudolph joined the United States Navy after graduation at the age of 17 years old. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years, 1962-1966. After the military, Rudolph began a career in Memphis, Tennessee as an Operation Manager of a trucking company for 8 years. He then returned home to his family farm in Saltillo, Tennessee, where he spent the next 35 years farming. After sudden health issues, he was forced to retire from farming but a new career was in the horizon. Rudolph created his own trucking business. He was the owner and operator of Rudolph Turnbow Trucking for 12 years. Rudolph retired from trucking to begin a career of a full time fisherman, doing what he loved to do.
He had been a faithful and dedicated noble of the Mystic Shrine for 50 years. Rudolph was recognized for his service and loyal support to the Fraternity and Shriners Hospitals for children. He was also a 55 year member of Center Lodge #380. Rudolph was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on January 5, 1968. He was a long standing member of Saltillo First Baptist Church in Saltillo, Tennessee.
Rudolph departed this life on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 23 days.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, Olga Turnbow of Saltillo, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Todd Turnbow of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Tina Turnbow Worley and her husband Jimmy of Savannah, Tennessee, and Mark Turnbow and his wife Brooke of Arlington, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren, Rudolph Turnbow Worley, Jameson Worley, Caleb Turnbow, and Nikolaus Turnbow; brothers, Glenn Turnbow and his wife Pat of Gallatin, Tennessee and Austion Turnbow and his wife Betty of Jackson, Tennessee; sisters, Charlotte Finley and her husband Larry of Saltillo, Tennessee, and Sheila Scott and her husband Rodney of Huron, Tennessee; and his faithful German Shepherd, "Turnbow".
