Ruby Jewel Rustin, 71, of Saulsbury, died Monday, July 4,2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A homemaker and waitress, she was born April 4, 1934 in Rome, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Glendal Neal and Cora Lee Gentry Neal and lived here since 1990. She was a member of and former treasurer-secretary for Center Point Baptist Church at Hickory Valley, was an avid gardener and loved to cook.
Private services were held by the family on Tuesday, July 5, 2005. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by five sons, Jerry Barnett of Ft. Myers, Fla., Charles Richie Sr. of Bolivar, Richard Rustin of Macon, GA, Johnny Rustin of Saulsbury and Timothy McGee of Bolivar; three sisters, Hazel Powell Brooks of Macon, GA, Sue Edwards of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Barbara Ann Aleman of Ocala, Fla.; one brother, James "Buddy" Neal of Macon, GA; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Neal.
