Ruby Okopski

September 28, 1910 — October 29, 2005

Ruby Browning Okopski, 95, of Bolivar, died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Bolivar General Hospital.



The widow of Paul Schlueter, Al Gilby and Leo Okopski, she was a production worker with Clark Equipment Company. Mrs. Okopski was born September 28, 1910 in DuQuoin, Illinois, daughter of the late Merida and Bessie Pierce Browning and lived most of her life in Burbank, Ill. before making her home in Bolivar in 1999. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Aurora, Ill. and the First Baptist Church of Lockport, Ill.



Graveside services were 10 am Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at Bolivar Memorial Cemetery with Jimmy Garrett officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.



She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul & June Schlueter and Ken & Myrtie Schlueter; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
