Ruby Irene Moore

Mrs. Moore died Sunday morning, March 30, 2008, at her home. The widow of James Roy Moore, who died in 1987, she was the manager of the patient canteen at Western Mental Health Insitute, retiring in 1979. She was born to James Thomas Lane and Irene Robley Lane, both of whom preceded her in death and lived all of her life in Whiteville. She was a member of the Whiteville Rook Club, Whiteville Bunko Club and the Whiteville Friendship Club and the Whiteville First United Methodist Church.



Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Ward of Lexington and Emily Rosson of Whiteville; a son, Bobby Moore of Greenville, Ky.; nine grandchildren, Mike and Robert Rosson, Ken and Steve Moore, Gary and Kevin Ward, Angie Orr, Beth Blankenship and Brad Moore; and 22 great grandchildren.
