Ruby Evelyn Vickery Moore of Collinwood, TN was born March 11, 1927 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Franklin and Ethel Cooley Vickery. She was united in marriage to James Rayford Moore on July 5, 1947 and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1998.
Mrs. Moore was retired from Angelica Corporation at Collinwood Manufacturing and attended McGlamery Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.
Mrs. Moore departed this life on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 8 Months, 21 Days.
She is survived by sons, James R. Moore Jr. and wife, Tammy of Collinwood, TN, Garry R. Moore and wife, Belinda of Lutts, TN, Roger D. Moore of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Judith E. Hensley and husband, Jeff of Iron City, TN, Ruby Janice Smith and husband, Dennis of Collinwood, TN; 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren; brother, Willie Vickery of Florence, AL; and special friend, James (Chubby) Mitchell of Collinwood, TN.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel Blake Moore; a sister, Brenda Vickery; four brothers, Alver Vickery, Dural Vickery, James F. Vickery Jr., Buddy Vickery.
Services will be Monday, December 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Chad Balentine and John E. Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.Pallbearers will be Steven Moore, David Hensley, Jeremy Hensley, Frank Moore, Jarrod Moore, Dustin Smith with honorary pallbearers being Nicholas Moore, Kristopher Moore, James Hensley, Dakota Smith.
