Ruby Melson

RUBY MELSONwas born in Wayne County, Tennessee on September 5, 1933 the daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Beulah Marie Shubert Bratton.On September 19, 1952 she was united in marriage to Henry Harrison Melson, who preceded his wife in death on October 8, 1999.Mrs. Melson was a homemaker and a member of Nixon Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and baby-sitting.Mrs. Melson departed this life on July 23, 2007 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 18 days.She is survived by 2 daughters, Nelda Lee Arvick of Michie, Tennessee and May McMasters of Savannah, Tennessee.2 sons, Henry Ray Melson and Bobby Dean Melson, both of Savannah, Tennessee.10 grandchildren, Shawun Arvick, Melissa Childers, Thomas McMasters, Brandy Stanfield, Pamela Melson, Robert Melson, , James McMasters, Jessica McMasters, Henry Arnold and Brittany McMasters.8 great-grandchildren, Josh Armstrong, Stephen Armstrong, Spencer Arnold, Caleb Born, Colton Born, Henry Arnold II, Ariana Stanfield and Tamara MelsonMrs. Melson was also preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Bratton and one sister, Willie Marie Spears.
