Ruby Massey

Ruby W. Masseywas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 8, 1915 the daughter of the late Phillip Boson and Mary Olie Sharp Worley.On July 23, 1934 she was united in marriage to Howard L. Massey, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1994.Mrs. Massey loved quilting and flower gardening. She was a member of New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to Hardin County, she had lived in Scottsboro, Alabama.Mrs. Massey departed this life on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at the age of 94 years, 3 months, 13 days.Mrs. Massey is survived by a daughter, Jean Milender of Counce, Tennessee; 2 sons, Robert Massey of McDonough, Georgia and Jimmy Massey of Dutton, Alabama; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 7 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 grandson, 2 twin granddaughters, and a son-in-law.
