Ruby Keeton

Services for Ruby Smith Irwin Keeton will be Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Laverne Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery in Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Pallbearers are Dan Creasy, Burt Staggs, Bart Staggs, Blake Staggs, Keith Scott, and Kevin Scott.



Mrs. Keeton was born June 20, 1913 in Alabama the daughter of the late William Louis and Myrtle Pearl Fitzpatrick Smith. In addition to her parents, Mrs Keeton was preceded in death by husbands, Charlie B. Irwin and Townson Keeton; son, Robert (Bobby) Irwin; two grandchildren, Charles Lee Creasy and Robert Allen Irwin; two brothers, Guy Smith and Louis Allen Smith; and a sister, Jewell Smith. Mrs. Keeton died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro at the age of 99 Years, 6 Months, 12 Days. Mrs. Keeton, a member of Ray's Chapel Baptist Church, was a 65 year member of American Legion Auxilliary.



She is survived by four daughters, Sue Irwin Creasy, Frances Irwin Jones and husband Roy, Ann Irwin Scott, and Melba Irwin Staggs and husband Floyd (Babe) all of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Diane, Susan, Dan, Mona, Gina, Lisa, Tammy, Keith, Kevin, Burt, Bart, Brad, and Blake; great-grandchildren, Josh, Douglas, Derrick, Jessica, Caleb, Cain, Hannah, Brandon, Bronson, Brittania, John, Jyl, Tiffany, Natasha, Rhett, Kennedy, Chase, Taylor, Breanna, Allison, and McKenzie; great-great grandchildren, Lakelyn, Landon, Karson, Chloe, Jada, Will, Luke, Hudson, John, James, Raven, Fernando, Robert, Lillie, Conner, and Kyle; step-children, Tommy Keeton of Tacoma, Washington and Julia McCool of Smyrna, TN; 3 step-grandchildren, John and Kevin Keeton and Mary McCool; brothers, Cecil Smith of Waynesboro, TN, Clyde Smith of Toledo, OH, Walter Smith of Toledo, OH, and Maynard Smith of Waynesboro, TN; two sisters, Pearl Griggs Wallace and Mary Nell Pierce both of Waynesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.
