Ruby Pearl Davis

Ruby Pearl Davis was born October 25, 1914 in Adamsville, TN, the daughter of the late John Bell and Patie Hawkins Ashe.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She loved to quilt for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a super mother-in-law. Ruby was a very strong and independent woman who loved everyone and always had a smile. She enjoyed her flowers, her garden, and her golf cart.

Mrs. Davis departed this life on September 1, 2014 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 99 Years, 10 Months, 7 Days.

She is survived by a son, Weiss Davis and wife Rhonda of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Julie Tucker and husband Ladron of Michie, TN, Trent Davis of New Orleans, LA; three great grandchildren: Hayden Tucker, Harris Tucker, and Jillian Tucker; best friend, Mary Johnson of Selmer, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband John Weiss Davis, who passed in 1948; two sisters, Bessie Woods and Olie Walker; six brothers: Artie Ashe, J. D. Ashe, Millard Ashe, Willard Ashe, W. C. "Preacher" Ashe, and George Ashe.
