Mrs. Ruby Cooper age 80 passed from this life on Sunday December 2, 2007 at the Bethany Health Care Facility in Nashville. She was born August 3, 1927 in Wayne County daughter of the late Jim and Zula Leftwitch Mathis. She graduated from Perry County High School in 1945, and was married to Leamon Cooper on June 30, 1945. Mrs. Cooper Worked at the shoe factory in Hohenwald Tennessee Until the birth of their first child Judy. They later moved to Crown Pointe IN. living there until 2004 when they moved to Henderson Tennessee. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Family Christian Life Center in Muster Indiana and a member of the Love and Truth Church in Henderson.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband Leamon Cooper of Henderson, daughters Judy Bell ( Frank) of Henderson, Sylvia Singleton (Thomas) of Franklin Tennessee, one son Bruce Cooper of Savannah, Tennessee and one adopted by love son Dr. James Wilkins of Cleveland Tennessee a brother Forrest Mathis of Nashville Tennessee. Grandchildren Tammy Hanback (Casey), Mark Bell (Angie), Kurt Singleton (Jen), Shellie Sowell (Andy), Amanda and Julie Singleton, Bruce Cooper Jr. (Jamie) Todd, Heather, Chad and Holly Cooper. Great Grandchildren Wesley, Murriel and Maddie Hanback, Cooper Bell, Beckett Singleton, Caroline Sowell, Colton Bales, and Cruise Cooper.
