Ruby Mae Brown, age 83 of Bolivar, passed from this life Saturday morning, November 22, 2008 at her home.She was born June 28, 1925 in Corinth, MS to the late Brodie Lee and Della Gray Puckett. She worked as a chef at Western Mental Health Institute and Bolivar General Hospital. Her husband, whom she married June 8, 1941, was Nathan Warren Brown. He preceded her in death November 22, 1983. She loved gospel music and was a member of the Bolivar First Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday School.Survivors include a daughter, Rita Crowley and husband Richard of Houston, TX; a sister, Faye Pyles and husband Joe of Bolivar; five grandchildren, Brett Nails and wife Dana of Henderson, Stephanie Colbeck of Bolivar, Rick Crowley of San Antonio, TX, Whitney Andrea Crowley of Austin, TX, and Alan Crowley and wife Jamie of Atlanta, GA; and seven great-grandchildren, Nathan and Ethan Nails, Alexander, Bonnie, Victoria and Andrew Colbeck, and Rachael Crowley. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Mae Nails, a sister, Edith Cole, a brother, Hollis Puckett and a nephew, Chris Puckett.
