Ruby Jean Taylor Ashe

Ruby Jean Taylor Ashe was born January 24, 1935 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Howard and Icie Burks Smith.She was united in marriage to Doug Taylor on May 14, 1954 who preceded her in death, and later married Mr. Herbert Ashe in 1999. Mrs. Ashe was retired from the Brown Shoe Company where she worked as a record writer . She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee and of the Eastern Star. She loved working, fishing, and sewing.Mrs. Ashe departed this life on December 13, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 10 Months, 19 Days. She is survived by her husband, William Herbert Ashe of Selmer, TN; two sons, Randall Taylor and wife Brenda of Selmer, TN, Harold Taylor of Selmer, TN, two stepsons, Gerald Ashe and wife Carolyn of Selmer, TN, Steve Ashe and wife Regina of Corinth, MS; 6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren; host of extended family and friends.In addition to her parents and her first husband, Mrs. Ashe was preceded in death by three sisters, Lessie Lee, Helen Kate Smith, Mary Elinor Smith; half sister, Betty Sue Smith; five brothers, Lillan Smith, Curryn Smith, A.J. Smith, Robert Earl Smith, James Robert Smith.
