Was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on September 18, 1911 the son of the late Joe and Fannie Love Wilbanks.
On February 28, 1935 he was united in marriage to the former Dallas Southerland, who preceded her husband in death on April 28, 2001.
Mr. Wilbanks was a Barber for 25 years. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Mr. Wilbanks departed this life on February 7, 2006 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 94 years, 4 months and 20 days.
He is survived by one son, Bobby Charles Wilbanks of Savannah, Tennessee.
His daughter-in-law, Deretha Wilbanks of Savannah, Tennessee.
3 grandchildren, Chris Wilbanks, Connie Dean Harville and Bobbie Matlock
2 great-grandchildren, Jessica Matlock and Daniel Matlock
And a special friend, Dean Sims of Michie, Tennessee.
Mr. Wilbanks was also preceded in death by one son, John Roy Wilbanks, Jr., 4 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
