Roy Medlin

ROY MEDLINwas born in Sardis, Tennessee on July 31, 1916 the son of the late Joseph Franklin and Mary Lula Moffett Medlin.On August 21, 1945 he was united in marriage to the former Marjorie Bingham, who survives.Mr. Medlin was a self-employed Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a United States Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. Mr. Medlin was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching and listening to Gaither Gospel Music. Mr. Medlin loved horses, mules and wagons and farming. He loved all children and grandchildren and going to church. Mr. Medlin enjoyed teasing everyone. He departed this life on January 20, 2008 at his residence in Sardis, Tennessee at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 20 days.Other than his wife, Margie of Sardis, Tennessee, he is survived by 3 daughters, Judy Stanfill of Reagan, Tennessee, Rita McBride of Sardis, Tennessee and Donna McCombs of Sardis, Tennessee.2 sons, Dale Medlin of Sardis, Tennessee and Tommy Yates of Lexington, Tennessee6 grandchildren, Ammie Yarbro, Misty Stanfill, Kirby McBride, Kelsey Millner, Dakila McCombs and Likay Medlin3 great-grandchildren, Anna Yarbro, Allison Yarbro and Benjamin Yarbroone brother, Thomas Ray Medlin of Nashville, TennesseeMr. Medlin was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mildred Medlin Presley and one infant child.
