Roy R. McIntyre

Roy R. McIntyre was born on February 27, 1917 in Finger, Tennessee the son of the late John and Ollie McCann McIntyre. He was united in marriage to Lucille Landreth on April 5, 1944. Mrs. McIntyre preceded him in death on November 19, 2006. They were married for 62 years. Mr. McIntyre retired in 1987 after a long career in farming and agriculture. He was a United States Army veteran, having served his country during World War II. He was also a member of the Estes church of Christ. Mr. McIntyre departed this life on April 1, 2007 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 90 Years, 1 Month, 5 Days. He is survived by two sons: Roy G. McIntyre and wife Dorothy of Henderson, Tennessee and Johnny McIntyre and wife Brenda of Selmer, Tennessee; four grandchildren: Sonya Stewart, Michelle McIntyre, Bruce McIntyre and Lesa McIntyre; a sister, Fay Talbott of Finger, Tennessee; a brother, J. R. McIntyre of Adamsville, Tennessee; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. McIntyre was also preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan Ernest, and three sisters: Helen McIntyre, Lessie McIntyre and Vivian McIntyre.
