Roxie Lee Jones Cummins of Collinwood, TN was born August 30, 1926 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Joe and Liza Jones. She was united in marriage to Jim Cummins in 1969. Mrs. Cummins was a retired factory worker .
She departed this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 82 Years, 7 Months, 22 Days.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Cummins of Collinwood, TN; five sons, Randy Scott of St. Louis, MO, Junior Scott and Donnie Scott both of Caruthersville, MO, Jimmy Scott and Ricky Scott both of WA; three daughters, Wanda Howland of Paris, TN, Helen Carson and Shelia Cecil both of Caruthersville, MO; one step-daughter, Marta Cummins of Collinwood, TN; a sister, Effie Scott of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cummins was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Margaret Cummins.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Josh Stults officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 10 am to service time at the funeral home.
