Ross Petty

ROSS PETTYWas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 29, 1918 the son of the late Harvey Mitchell and Addie Ross Petty.On December 4, 1947 he was united in marriage to Marie Irons, who survives.Mr. Petty was retired owner of Petty and Son Nissan in Savannah. He was an auto dealer for 20 years. Mr. Petty was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Petty enjoyed meeting people and helping others. He enjoyed playing dominos and going out to eat.Mr. Petty departed this life on May 7, 2009 at the Tri County Convalescent Home in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 8 days.Other than his wife, Marie of Adamsville, Tennessee he is survived by one daughter, Neita Coffman and her husband Billy of Adamsville, Tennessee.One son, Larry (Bo) Petty of Adamsville, Tennessee3 grandchildren, Angie Ricketts, Barrett Petty and Hunter Petty2 great-grandchildren, Blakely Ricketts and Rylie RickettsOne brother, Robert Petty and his wife Yevonne of Blytheville, ArkansasOther than his parents, Mr. Petty was also preceded in death by one sister, Elouise Mote and one brother, James Earl Petty.
