Rose Mary Sykes

Mrs. Rose Mary Sykes, 75, of Bolivar, died on March 22, 2006. The wife of Gerald Nelson Sykes, who survives, Mrs. Sykes was the daughter of the late Howard Russell and the late Estelle Smith Russell.



Mrs. Sykes was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a very loving person who was always doing for others.



Services were at 4:00 Friday afternoon at the Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with burial at the Hebron Cemetery near Middleton.



Mrs. Sykes leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Gerald Sykes; five daughters and four sons, Michael Adams and his wife Diane Adams, Marilyn Russell and her husband Barry, Samantha Howell and her husband Timmy, Susan Ross and her husband Jeremy, all of Bolivar, Ross Adams and his wife Kim of Middleton, Keith Adams and his wife Becky of Collierville, Sara Reiss and her husband Andrew of Nashville, Phil Robinson of Kansas and Phyllis Meeker and her husband Bryce of Ill.; four sisters, Carolyn Essary of Jackson, Geraldine Bryant of Milan, Sue Smith of Illinois and Lola Wells of Ark.; two brothers, Howard Russell, Jr. and Steve Russell, both of Clifton; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren and two special friends, Bobby Jo Cheairs and Jane Jernigan Kee.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Estelle Russell, her first husband, William Bert Adams, one daughter, Debbie Adams and an infant brother.
