Rose Shelton

Rose Shelton was born on November 7, 1964 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, the daughter of the late J. C. and Evelyn J. Holland Bevis.

On March 8, 1986, she was united in marriage to Ricky Dewayne Shelton, Sr. who preceded his wife in death on April 11, 2010.

Rose attended Yorkville Baptist Church in Yorkville, Tennessee. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was a very good caregiver. She loved texting and talking to her friends and family and was always meeting new people. She enjoyed singing and loved her family. Rose was a wonderful mother to her children.

Rose Shelton departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 57 years, 7 months, and 26 days.

She is survived by her sons, Ricky Dewayne "June Bug" Shelton, Jr. (Bianca Christine Davis-Shelton) and Cody Van Shelton (Deborah Hartley), all of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Kelly Jo Shelby (David) of Rutherford, Tennessee, Katrina Shelton Goff (Nathaniel) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Katelyn Rhyn Shelton of Adamsville, Tennessee; step children, Bradley Shelton of Newbern, Tennessee and Cassie Shelton of Dyersburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Gavin Shelby, Trinity Shelby, Landon Shelby, and Maddox Edge Shelton; and brothers, Robert Bevis of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Kevin Harrington of Trenton, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by her siblings, Jake Bevis, Richard Bevis, Lester Bevis, Harry Bevis, Sarah Bevis, Sue Pack, and Betty Harrington.
