Ronald (Ronnie) Robinson was born July 5, 1949 in Corinth, Mississippi the son of the late James M. (Hob) and Irene McKinney Robinson.After graduating from Pickwick Southside High School in 1967, Ronnie entered the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Sargeant E-5. After returning from Vietnam, he worked for Pickwick Landing State Park for 5 years and travelled with a construction company. Ronnie retired as an engineer for Marine Transportation Company in Dyersburg, TN. He was a member of the New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce, TN. Ronnie departed this life on May 21, 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 58 Years, 10 Months, 16 Days. He is survived by two sisters: Louella Greene and husband Harold of Corinth, MS and Fay Vickery and husband Ben of McEwen, TN; three brothers: Corbin Robinson of Adamsville, TN, Jerry Robinson of Adamsville, TN and William Robinson and wife Elizabeth of Wood River, IL; special brother Jerry Matlock of Adamsville, TN; and a host a nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Blakney and Betty Williams; and five brothers: George T. Robinson, John W. Robinson, Garland Robinson, Tommy Robinson and Kenneth Robinson.
