Services for Ronald Edward Copous, age 69, of Savannah, TN will be Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Colinwood, Tennessee with Tony Polk officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
He was born October 17, 1939 the son of the late Ed and Vada Daniel Copous. Ronald lived in the Lutts community all his younger life. He and his family moved to Hardin County in April of 1985 where he worked for Tennessee Valley Electric for several years and was a self employed auctioneer.
Mr. Copous departed this life on May 22, 2009 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 7 Months, 5 Days. In addition to his parents, Mr. Copous was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Copous and Tommy Copous; two sisters, Evelyn Holt and Bonnie Nell Divinney. He was a member of Crossroads Union Church.
He is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Leatrice;
a son, Kevin Copous and wife Peggy of Parsons, TN; a daughter, Rhonda Austin and husband Jeff of Rogersville, AL;
two grandchildren, Blake Short and Stetson Copous;
step-grandchildren, Seth Renfroe and Bradley Austin;
brothers, Earl Copous of Florence, AL and Billy Copous of Waynesboro, TN
