RONALD EDD BARNES

was born in Alcorn County, Mississippi on August 12, 1948 the son of the late Edd and Minnie Elise Smith Barnes.

On April 24, 1971 he was united in marriage to Judy Ann Worley, who survives.

Ronald worked as an electrician for 36 years for the U. S. Army Corp. of Engineers in Pickwick Dam, Tennessee. He had also done some construction work. Ronald was a member of First Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee and IBEW #852 in Corinth, Mississippi. Fishing and cooking brought him great enjoyment and would invite everyone to his home so he could cook for them. Ronald's greatest time was spent with his grandchildren.

He departed this life on Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 25 days.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, Judy of Counce, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Melissa Barnes of Savannah, Tennessee and Monica Barnes of Counce, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kelsey Dixon, Noah Morris, Lucion Parrish and Lani Parrish; and one sister, Barbara Williams of Huntsville, Alabama.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by three brothers, Jessie, Kenny and Lowell Barnes and one sister, Judy Philbin.
