ROGER HARRIS
Henderson, TN: Roger Latham Harris age 70 passed away June 3, 2015 at his daughter's home in Jackson.
He was born September 12, 1944 in Jackson and raised in Henderson, the son of Bessie King Harris and the late Leonard Riley Harris. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1962 and attended Freed-Hardeman for one year. Mr. Harris worked for Western Electric Telephone and Telegraph in stalling equipment. Then owned and operated Harris Auto Repair in Jackson. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. Harris is survived by two daughters, Lesa McMinn and husband Randy of Jackson and Lori Ann Harris of Byhalia, MS; two grandchildren, Jordan McMinn and Aiden Harris; his mother, Bessie King Harris and a sister, Jean Cox and husband Joe Neal Cox of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Patricia ‘Pat’ Siler, a nephew, Jason Cox and Linda Jordan Harris.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday June 6, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Paul Roaten and Joe Neal Cox officiating and burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5 PM until 9 PM on Friday.
