ROBERTA SUE SMITH PIPESwas born in Savannah, Tennessee on August 6, 1935 the daughter of the late John Cornelius and Donna Bell Hunt Smith.She was united in marriage to Robert Earl Pipes, who preceded his wife in death.Mrs. Pipes was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She loved to travel and she loved food.Mrs. Pipes departed this life on July 20, 2008 at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 14 days.She is survived by 2 daughters, Cathy Gray of Adamsville, Tennessee and Bobbie Tuberville of Crump, Tennessee.2 sons, Michael and Jimmy Pipes, both of Savannah, Tennessee6 grandchildren, Crystal Gray Austin, Tara Tuberville, Lana Brooke Pipes Plunk, Ashley Nicole Beard, Jimmy William Pipes, Jr. and Robert Thomas Pipes.8 great-grandchildren3 sisters, Emma Todd, Robbie Frazier and Jeffie Bell "Sid" Scott, all of Savannah, Tennessee5 brothers, Carl Smith of Milan, Tennessee, Billy Smith of Arkansas, Ted Smith, Tommy Jack Smith and Larry Joe Smith, all of Savannah, TennesseeMrs. Pipes was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Grace "Dan" Crotts and Mary Francis Smith and 4 brothers, J. C. Smith, Dave Smith and 2 infant brothers.
