Robert D. Wright

Robert D. Wright Sr. of Cypress Inn, TN was born September 6, 1935 in Cypress Inn, TN, the son of the late John Henry and Fannie Bell Sherrill Wright. He was united in marriage to Shirley Jane Daniel on December 19, 1954. Mr. Wright was retired from Murray Ohio manufacturing company and was a member and deacon of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Cypress Inn, Tennessee and departed this life on May 26, 2015 at his home at the age of 79 Years, 8 Months, 20 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jane Daniel Wright of Cypress Inn, TN; a son, Robert D. Wright Jr. and wife, Vickie of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Teresa J. Wright Spence and husband, Dan of Lewisburg, TN, Dianne Wright Weeks and husband, Coy of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Weeks Burks, Joshua Spence, Jason Wright, Jonathan Spence, Jessica Wright Brown, Katie Beth Spence Trout, Courtney Weeks Johnston and Jacob Wright; great-grandchildren, Maddie Kate Brown, Brayson and Brinklee Wright, Cooper and Hudson Burks, Eliza Jane Johnston, Beau and Tucker Spence and Henry and Quinn Spence; brothers, Jay Wright and wife, Effie, Clifford Wright and wife, Ethel and Guilford Wright and wife, Alice all of Collinwood, TN and Clayburn Wright of Lawrenceburg, TN; sisters, Ruthie Wright Patterson of Missouri, Ruby Wright Southerland of Savannah, TN and Ruia Wright Pigg and Eva Wright Roberson both of Collinwood, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday, May 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Camryn Eaton and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Joshua Spence, Jonathan Spence, Jason Wright, Jacob Wright, Caleb Brown and Tyler Trout. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Burks, Deacon Randy Bratton, Deacon Coy Weeks, Deacon Stan Horton and Deacon Joe Hanback.
