Robert William Tigner, 75, of Hornsby, died Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The son of William Andrew and Callie Estalla Sipes Tigner, he was a native of and life-long resident of Hardeman County. Married to Lillian Marsiz Moore on July 15, 1950, he was a member of the Hatchie Baptist Church. Mr. Tigner worked for the Hardeman County Road Department for 19 1/2 years and was presently a crew leader for the Tennessee Division of Forestry, where he had worked the past 19 1/2 years. He loved to hunt, metal-detect and play music, which he did all of his life. His family stated that he was a giver.
In addition to his wife, who survives, he leaves a daughter, Loretta Tigner Goodrum of Selmer; three sons, William Aulcie Tigner of Bolivar, Steven Johnny Tigner of Hornsby and Randy Moore Tigner of Hornsby; two sisters, Lucille Donahue of Middleton and Bonnie McMahan of Hornsby; his grandchildren are Morgan Goodrum, Tina, Lee Ann, Ashley, Taylor and Lilly Tigner.
Mr. Tigner was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Jeffery Tigner; a sister, Janette Tank; and a grandson, Wade Tigner.
