Robert G. Smith

ROBERT G. SMITHwas born in Selmer, Tennessee on August 20, 1944 the son of the late Raymond F. Smith and Mamie Rousey Smith Denson.On June 5, 1969 he was united in marriage to the former Nancy McAdams, who survives.Mr. Smith was a retired teacher for the Hardin County Board of Education. He was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Smith worked with youth groups like 4-H Club, Little League Baseball, Boy Scouts and T-ball. He was a Shiloh Military Park Ranger for 15 years. Mr. Smith loved working on the farm , working with livestock like horses and hogs and he also enjoyed gardening.He departed this life on December 30th, 2007 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 63 years, 4 months and 10 days.Other than his wife, Nancy of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by 3 sons, Mickey Jerome Smith of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, Jason Allen Smith and Christopher Robin Smith, both of Lexington, Tennessee.4 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildrenhis father, Eston Denson of Savannah, Tennessee2 sisters, Kim Denson of Savannah, Tennessee and Peggy Jacobsone brother, Tommy Denson of Newburn, Tennessee
