Robert Edgar Mr. Sigler, 81, of Middleton, died Friday evening, November 24, 2006.
A native of Memphis, he was the son of the late Robert Edgar Sigler, Sr. and Effie Marie Cozart Sigler. He lived most of his life in Memphis and moved to Middleton in 1992, where he was a member of the church of Christ. While in Memphis, he was a member of Mountain Terrace church of Christ.
Mr. Sigler served in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II and on March 6, 1948, he married Dessrie M. Horis, who survives. He worked as a salesman for McDuff Appliances in Memphis for 15 years and also was and insurance salesman.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Linda Mitchell of Hernando, MS, Joyce Byers of Middleton and Karen Taylor of Walls, MS; one son, Robert W. Sigler of Bartlett; two sisters, Bernice Moore of Somerville and Doloris Feathers of Hornsby; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sigler was preceded in death one brother, Parvin Sigler; and two grandchildren, Jason W. Sigler and Lauren Paige Sigler.
