Robert Max Schmidt

Services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangments.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 13, 4:--8:00 pm and on Friday, Dec. 14, 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
Mr. Schmidt departed this life on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at his residence in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 25 Days. He was born November 16, 1928 in Arma, KS the son of the late Vernon and Opal Anderson Schmidt. He was united in marriage to Eileen Bohlmann on February 18, 1950. Mrs. Schmidt preceded him in death on October 22, 2004.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Schmidt was preceded in death by sister; Betty L. Schmidt.
Mr. Schmidt was a retired manager with International Harvester Tractor Works . He was a member of the Marquette Manor Baptist Church and a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by daughters, Karen Gail (Schmidt) Singer and husband Jerry of Waynesboro, TN, Donna Louise Boonstra and husband Henry of Homer Glen, IL; sons, Robert Vernon Schmidt of Homer Glen, IL, Michael Allen Schmidt of Hartland, WI; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
