ROBERT ‘BUD’ ROUSE
Henderson: Robert Douglas Rouse, age 70, died September 30, 2005, at his home in the Old Friendship Community.
He was born and reared in the Old Friendship Community of McNairy Co., the son of the late John Henry and Harriet Lou McCann Rouse. He went to school at Finger and graduated Bethel Springs High school in 1953. He was married to Patricia Schopp in 1954 and they made their home in Aurora, ILL., where they owned and operated Bob Rouse Realty. While in Aurora Mr. Rouse was a member of the Eagles Club, the Moose Lodge, the Turner’s Athletic Club. He was also a member of the Aurora Board of Realtors. He retired in 1994 and moved back to the Old Friendship/ Finger area where he was a member of the Henderson Elks Lodge and also a member of the First Baptist Church of Bethel Springs.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Schopp Rouse of Finger, two sons Larry Douglas Rouse of Aurora and Bobby Lee Rouse of Finger. One daughter Cindy Howenstein and husband Larry of Little Rock, AR. One brother Larry Wayne Rouse, two sisters Imogene Rouse and Lurlene Sanders and husband Tom all of Finger. Three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
