Robert Glenn Rankin

Robert Glenn Rankin was born February 19, 1930 in Henderson, TN, the son of the late Frank Rankin and Winnie Patterson Rankin.  

Glenn was united in marriage to Peggy Jane Davis on December 18, 1953. Mrs. Rankin preceded him in death on August 4, 2002. He served in the United States Army during Korea, He had worked for Brown Shoe Company and Kolpack over the years.

Glenn was a member of the First Christian Church in Selmer, Tennessee where he served as secretary for many years and held the title of Elder Emeritus. He loved God, his family and church family.

Mr. Rankin departed this life on February 23, 2023 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 4 Days.

He is survived by a daughter, Glenda Williams and husband Joe of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren; Brooke Willis and husband Shane of Adamsville, TN, Stefanie Williams of Selmer, TN; four great grandchildren: Miles Cooper and fiancé Rebakah Gray of Adamsville, TN, Ethan Cooper of Adamsville, TN, Amelia Cooper of Adamsville, TN, Taylor Willis of Jackson, TN.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Rankin was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice McDaniel; two brothers, Herman and Aaron Rankin.
