Robert Norton of Cleveland, MS was born October 31, 1932, the son of the late Preston Gilbert and Clara Mae Clayton Norton. He was united in marriage to the former Lera Nell and she preceded him in death on May 23, 2012. Mr. Norton was veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the St. Luke Methodist Church.
Mr. Norton departed this life on November 8, 2022 at the age of 90 Years, 8 Days.
He is survived by sons, Chet Norton of Cleveland, MS and Mark Norton, wife, Kyle, of Barlett, TN; grandchildren, Brandi, Lauren, Carrie and Allen; great-grandchildren, Brett, Jace, Grace, Jane and Erin.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Norton was preceded in death by sisters, Rathanell Collins, Earlene Smith and Christine Witcher and daughter-in-law, Terri Norton.
A graveside service with military rites will be on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 1 pm at Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Mr. Norton departed this life on November 8, 2022 at the age of 90 Years, 8 Days.
