Robert Earl Nolen

ROBERT EARL (PETE) NOLENwas born in Counce, Tennessee on March 13, 1921 the son of the late T. C. and Nellie Jane Counce Nolen.Mr. Nolen was owner of T. C. Nolen and Son Grocery Store. He was a member of Counce First Baptist Church. Mr. Nolen taught school a few years in Counce after his High School Graduation. He loved history and talking to his customers. Mr. Nolen served Elvis Presley and his entourage sandwiches many times and also Buford Pusser and his Deputies soft drinks and snacks.Mr. Nolen departed this life on February 26, 2012 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 13 days.Mr. Nolen is survived by 2 nieces, Sarah Schiff and husband Berny of Austin, Texas and Martha Widick of Jonesboro, Tennessee 2 great nephews, Kevin Widick and Kyle Widick2 great great nieces, Carrie Widick and Josie Widickone great great nephew, Noah WidickMr. Nolen is also survived by his special caretaker, Jane ToddIn addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Blanche Carter
