Robert M. Murphy

Robert Mack Murphy of Collinwood departed this life on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 58 Years, 1 Month, 26 Days. He was born December 23, 1957 in Collinwood, TN the son of the late Henry William and Alte Lee Jenkins Murphy. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by brother Henry Jr. Murphy.

He was united in marriage to Marilyn Jane Franks on December 23, 1976.

Robert was a timber cutter having worked with Kenneth Sherrills and Danny Sandusky .

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Jane Franks Murphy , sons, Jimmy Robert Murphy, Henry Marshall Murphy, and Tony D. Murphy, daughters, Naomi Lee Pope, Brenda Lee Brown, and April Murphy all of Collinwood, TN, brothers, Jim David Murphy of Florence, AL, and Timmy Murphy of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, James Michael Vaughn, Angel Lee Murphy, Macayla Lynn Brewster, Francis Angela Brewster, Victoria Mae Murphy, William Robert Marshall Murphy, Ashley Nicole Murphy, Alcus Dewayne Murphy, Kiknie Marie Russell, Elizabeth Brown, a grt-grandchild, Mae Lynn Jade Murphy.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee, with Wayne Green officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery , Collinwood, Tennessee
with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 19, 5:30 pm until service time on Saturday, February 20, @ Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Savannah, TN
