Robert D. Maddox

Mr. Maddox died Friday evening at Baptist Hospital in Collierville.
He was the son of the late Ira Otis and Alona Jones Maddox. A native of Santa Ana, California, he was a 22 year veteran of the U.S. Army having served two tours of duty in Vietnam and four tours in Germany. He retired as a Sergeant, First Class. He married the former Betty Ann Tekus on May 7, 1955. Mr. Maddox has lived in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and Fort Carson, Colorado before moving to Saulsbury in 1980 where he was a member of the Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, Betty Tekus Maddox of Saulsbury; two sons, Robert Maddox, Jr. of Alta Loma, California and Joe Maddox of North Powder, Oregon; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sandy Moorehead and a brother, Jim Maddox.
