Robert Julian Lyons

Robert Julian Lyons Sr. was born July 28, 1931 in New Brunswick, New Jersey the son of the late Christopher Raymond and Elsie Fahrenthold Lyons.
He was united in marriage to Georgia Mae Bailey on February 10, 1951.
Mr. Lyons retired from Aqua Glass where he worked in the parts department for 18 years. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy on February 15, 1973 after 20 years of service. He also helped organize the Adamsville High School Band and the Aqua Glass Leon B. Blasingame Memorial Scholarship fund.
Mr. Lyons departed this life on April 4, 2009 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 8 Months, 7 Days. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Georgia Mae (Bailey) Lyons of Stantonville, TN; four daughters: Debra Denson and husband Terry of Millington, TN, Dawn Magee and husband Bill of Memphis, TN, Georgia Nunley of McMinnville, TN, and Cindy Hughes and husband Ted of Adamsville, TN; three sons: Robert Lyons, Jr. of Nashville, TN, Joseph Lyons and wife Cally of Merseyside, England, and Michael Lyons and wife Kari of Spring Hill, TN; a twin sister, Rose Ann Shelton and husband Jim of Port Saint Lucie, FL; a brother, Donald Lyons of Sayreville, NJ; nine grandchildren: Daniel Hughes, Fahren Hughes, Amber Magee, Ashlei Magee, Joseph Lyons, Maggie Lyons, Sam Lyons, Billy Jo Nunley and Jesse Nunley.
