He was born in Chester County, the son of the late Benjamin Authur and Nora Blair Lynch. He served in the U.S. Army and was a WWII Veteran. He was married to Jewell Clayton in 1942 and they made their home in McNairy County, where they farmed. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and trapping in his spare time.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Latham of Finger; two sons, Larry Lynch (Judy) of Bethel Springs and Neal Lynch (Janice) of Finger; 4 grandchildren, Debbie, Terry, Sandy and Brett; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Naylor of Finger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Clayton Lynch in 1992 and four sons, Ronnie, Richard, Joe Edward and Howard Lynch.
