Robert Hughes departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the age of 82. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 14, 1937. Following the death of his mother, O.F. and Lola Hughes chose to become his parents on December 24, 1937. On September 7, 1957 he was united in marriage to Doris Nesbitt Hughes.
Robert was a faithful member of Adamsville First Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years. He loved to go on mission and senior adult trips with the church. One of his favorite things to do was “piddle” in his woodshop with his buddies Gary Cagle and Jeff Graham.
